My old site went down in 2022, and a lot of my current homelab is newer than that. Most of the content here is probably going to wind up being newly written rather than recovered, so details will probably be pretty delayed. In the meantime here's a quick list of components for those interested:
- KVM: ACNODES MKD6117; 17" 1980x1080
- Cable station: Blonder Tongue (yes, really) MIRC-12(V). Mostly filled with ACM-806 modules.
- Pi Cluster: 4x Raspberry Pi 3b
- A couple of 2U chassis which each hold a pair of mITX motherboards.
- Routing and modem management
- OTA TV
- A few larger 3U+ systems for various tasks including AI research and NAS
- A 1U LTO library for backup
- UPS solution
I'm planning to get around to writing up my experiences putting all this together at some point, but until then hopefully the above serves as a starting point.
One note I would like to leave here... at one point I'd found a twin-mITX chassis which allowed each of the two mITX systems to be independently and completely pulled out of the front, worked on, and reinstalled... but that was quite some time ago and I didn't purchase it when I saw it, unfortunately. I'm still hoping something like that comes back on the market.
